Fur white as the newly fallen snow and eyes the colour of deep waters, Astrila is albino. Her nose, paw pads, and any other exposed skin is a light, fleshy pink and carries no melanin, as is normal with her "condition". Her build is similar to that of her father. With a heavy, dense bone structure and a thick fluffy coat of fur, she is built for the north, born for the icy mountains that are her homeland. Seemingly glowing from within, her body almost seems ethereal, ghost-like in its form. Unlike a spirit, however, she can feel and be felt. Pain is as real to her as it is to anyone else.
She inherited her father's extra body parts, though not in the way that he carries them. Instead of extra ears, Astrila carries two extra pairs of eyes, smaller than the primary set and sitting just above and below her temples. These extra oculars don't offer her better vision, but a different kind of vision. The pair that sits above her temple allow her to see in infrared, detecting heat signatures and aiding her in the hunt. Her lower pair is a bit odd. They are seemingly blind to her, but that doesn't stop them from affecting her life, as keeping them closed when she was a pup had been a very difficult task. Keeping them open for long gives her migraines and sometimes causes seizures if she doesn't heed her own mind's warning. Nowadays, she keeps them closed out of instinct and it has become second nature not to open them.
Around her neck lies a long necklace comprised of a braided leather loop that holds onto a hanging gem-like stone. The colours in the stone mimic the blue of her eyes, and it is why her father gave it to her. This gem-like stone does not hold any magical value, only sentimental.
Born to her loner father, she was raised among her siblings to hold very high morals and a very high standard to those around her. She was taught to play nice and fight hard. Her young life was full of trials and tribulations. Being one of six to a single dad meant that she had to learn to pull her weight early, and so she did. She was catching bunnies on her own by the time she was 8 months old, and helping her father and siblings to bring down larger prey by the time she saw a year.
A few months after their birthday, Astrila was out on a hunt and separated from her family. She searched long and hard to find them again, but it was as if they'd all up and disappeared on her. With all of her training under her belt, she has so far thrived on her own, though the future brings uncertainty and she's just about ready to go looking for somewhere to be safe.
